Objective:

To increase women's employment in Palestinian IT service companies by conducting a comprehensive assessment of the effects of gender on women's employment in the sector. This assessment will help TechStart design and pilot effective solutions to increase women's opportunities and employment prospects.

Overview:

TechStart through a service provider will conduct: an IT and gender needs assessment that will (a) shed light on the employment landscape of the IT service companies; (b) create a better understanding of the expectations faced by hiring managers when it comes to recruitment, retention, and promotion of their staff; and (c) identify the constraints and opportunities faced by male and female employees working in the sector as well as their pathways to leadership positions, and iv) develop recommendations and an action plan with a proposed set of interventions and solutions for company adoption to address priorities for change in the key areas of the assessment including policy reform recommendations.
